![]() Nothing fancy but we did 5 barb wire fence. You also have to make sure all 4 keepers are pulled up so they don't catch the wire as seen in photo. A little wd40 on the "post" and they spin almost too good. I wouldn't go more than 3, even with 2 if you start making much of a curve they can get tangled. Pic of our single that goes in a hitch, have a double that is two of these side by side on an axle and a tongue that hooks to the hitch. The vertical is good because it gives you a little braking action so the wire doesn't twist up. Local builder has 5 vertical posts spaced a couple feet apart and rolls em all out at once. Throw another roll on other end, drive back.etc. Only takes 10 minutes to roll out a 1/4 wire. Throw disc blade on shaft, throw barb wire on blade, if you want throw another disc blade on top of wire roll.drive as fast as you want. There may be something there on a multiple rool thing for barb wire or an idea of something you could make.Įdit: I looked up the fence dawg video and right after it ended there was a video on another fencing tool that did unroll multiple rolls of barb wire. ![]() Look up go bob pipe fence and look up the fence dawg. I really am not sure, but you may be able to run high tensile woven wire for less. They do have or people have made multiple spinning jennies stacked for high tensile smooth wire. I would however think 7 strands at one time would or could become a tangled nightmare. Really can't help you much since I haven't built much barb wire fence. I'd say we will have a couple miles of fence to build over the next few years, so would like the right tool for the job.ĭoing 7 strand 12ga for pens, prob use 5 strands for some field fence 7 rolls would be awesome, but anything would be an improvement over 1. I'd like to be able to run multiple strands per trip, would save a lot of time and steps. We have an arbor bolt fixed up to put on a 3pt hitch that we unwind 1 roll at a time, someone has to walk along making sure the roll doesn't get balled up. The biggest flaw in our system is unrolling the barbed wire. Planning to build a little more fence this spring. The optional Barbwire Hog mounts onto the Stretch-N-Go and is specifically designed to stretch barbed wire. STRETCH-N-GO HOG BARBED WIRE DISPENSER (SNGBARB) Pockets are built into the Stretch-N-Go for forklift access. This equipment also saves on manpower the Stretch-N-Go only requires two operators for fence installation. ![]() Coated tension rolls protect wire during stretching while an adjustable brake system provides tension options. The wire is held upright and taut against the posts while a person walks behind and secures the fence. The woven wire is stretched while guiding the Stretch-N-Go via Skid-Steer. The dispenser is capable of stretching up to 1/4 mile, or the equivalent of two 660' rolls or four 330' rolls, of woven wire without reloading. The Stretch-N-Go Hog simultaneously stretches and installs wire fencing with no physical effort.
